N.Z Queenstown and Legacys

  Top of Page

Hey All, I just got back from Queenstown N.Z today after a 10 day action packed holiday.

I must say I was absolutely overwhelmed with the amount of Legacy wagons over there. They were by far the most popular car there like a Commodore here. Its a shame I didnt get many photos 1 actually but I didn't go there to take random pics of cars.
I did see basically a replica of Mickeys GTB with the same grill and Wagon Wing only in silver other than that different rims.

All in all great holiday we hired a car for 1 day I wanted to hire a Legacy turboed version but the car rental only had the RX, im sure and was out of them anyway so we booted some good old'e auto Mazda up the Mountain to Snowpark for the day big_smile

LOL nah did hear that ofter but I was chating to one guy who said broew quite a bit but hey just came back from a holiday from Africa so thats where I thought he picked it up from.

The snow was sick drying than the s**t we get down here in Vic it was very nice. However it only snowed 1cm while I was there so by the end of the trip most of it had gone and last day boarding was ice boarding LOL DANG ICE. The mountains were much better no tree just open with approx 3 lifs no beginers or noobies in the way so could just cruise basically anywhere.

I went to Cardrona, Coronet Peak (local call it concrete peak for some reason), The Remarkables and Snowpark. I liked Cardrona the best it was pretty tripy. I would of liked to go to Treble Cone but that was about 2 and a half hours away so we stuck with the closer mountains.

I just relized I had a few typos above but I ment to say i didnt hear the bro' much only from one guy.

That 1 photo is of a Blue Gen3 GTB (by memory) at the carpark of snowpark. Its on a mates camera so i hope they havnt deleted it but I will get it when I get all the photos back some time soon. We all had a camera each.

Well reccomended great time the locals were awesome very friendly place to be.

big_smile

Next time we go we will probably save for a heli drop and do some bungi jumping. We decided to skydive over the bumngy which was awesome.

yea cardrona is pretty awesome.. i really liked coronet peak when i was learning how to board, and the remarkables are pretty awesome if you go off on some of the trails or off piste.. like you ive never made it to treble cone as the trek is fairly off putting.. glad you enjoyed the humble offerings of good ol enn zuuddd smile and you should definately go with the heli-drop next time, expensive but well worth it..
cheers,
theo.

I did this while I was over in Queenstown last year.  Great trip.

One tip with the rafting, try not to wack the bloke next to you in the face with the paddle like I did...  lol

When we went down the river it was a cat 4.5.  The max is cat 5 which is impassable.  It was a major rush !!
