Don't know of anyone with a Subaru auto complaining, my GT auto is fine, car's been modded for over 5 years, no auto issues. Either factory auto fault that surfaces later in usage or owner misusing and not servicing it proper. Warranty does cover mechanical faults in the tranny, not wear and tear. Do the usual service checks on the car, get a Subaru expert to have a good look and test before buying.
