You know I never thought of that? The man's a genius. of course I thought about popping the boot and unbolting it, I was hoping someone might have enough of a clue to suggest where the bolts were located, how many of them, what size they were. Nevermind. I figured it out for myself, really easy only four holding it in place and the worst I had to do was pop the trim in two places to get to concealed bolts. |

by jono885 on 30-11-08 03:34 PM should be the same as mine (genIII RX) so only 4 bolts mate.. only other thing is wiring. you will be left with 5 holes total.. should see if you can pick up a boot lid without the spoiler.. save patching up holes. |

Thanks champ that's exactly what I found, suprisingly easy to tear off. I'm loving how easy this thing is to work on previously I owned a 2001 model Vectra...wow talk about a piece of ****. I have been scouting around for a boot like you said but I'm not really in an ideal location (smallish town, long way from anywhere significant) to find spare parts for anything that isn't a falcon or a commodore haha. Any suggestion on what sort of putty I should use to patch it up - or will any house variety do? |

Yup, I think everyone I know who's ever pulled a spoiler off any vehicle has filled the holes with putty then gone over it with touch-up paint. |

by WaspHunter on 30-11-08 06:37 PM Try body filler, the type made for cars. Good luck matching such a large amount of touch up paint to the lid. |
