My White 1996 Legacy GT-B Twin Turbo

  Top of Page

My first post here, Just saying Hi and introducing myself and my car.

I am from the UK but thought you lot might appreciate some nice pics.

Love this car, so fast, its a manual, with a non-sequential turbo kit. Removes the VOD (Valley Of Death), all of the twin turbo legacy suffer from this. The VOD is where the secondary turbo takes over from the primary, happens at around 4,500rpm, no boost from then until 5,000rpm, but mine boosts smoothly from around 3,000rpm all the way upto 1.1bar.

Enjoy smile

Welcome Dozza.

Tell us more about this non sequential turbo kit. Is it single turbo? Many of us are well aware of what VOD is wink

I like your RFRB rear wing.
I don't like your front grille and front bar extension.
Twin sunroofs look cool, but you're missing the mud flap mouldings.

cheers

But yeah - tell us more about the sequential please..  is it off the shelf or custom?  What's involved?  Do you lose bottom end?

Welcome. Nice car, and nice pram in the background of one of the photos.

There was a "how to" thread somewhere about running the twins in parallel. Billsy? Tassie TT?

Hi all,

Thanks for your comments.

All of the work that has been done to this car was already done before I bought it. The grill, the badge and the N/S Kit.

I personally like the grill, not sure what you mean by a "front bar extension" though. An explanation of what this is would be nice.

I like the STi badge, I know Subaru didnt do an STi GT-B, but hey, its staying. Ive also got STi pedals. I like these too.

As for the N/S Kit, its supplied by a Japanese company called CTS.

Click HERE to go to thier website. Its in Japanese so will need translating via Google or some other web page translator. I cant really give you anymore detials as i didnt fit the kit. All I can say is that there are a few of the original hoses blanked off and a couple of blanking plates installed somewhere, and a couple of extra hoses plumed in.

Thanks for that, makes sense.

I thought the front bumper on this car was standard, but on closer inspection I can see that it may well not be.

You'd get snow in north devon?  :vampire:   jokes.. it's not as bad as some I've seen..  wouldn't like to see it lowered though..

That grill surround is kinda funky...
