:( my poor MY07 liberty

listen to this...

i finish year 12, and i wait 2 long years of being car-less and finally get my brand new 07 2.0R liberty arctic white...

i break it in... 2011km on the dail, i stop at a red light and BANG i get rear ended!!! ARGH, bumper bar is f**kED, boot wont close, slightly bent, read right quarter panel above the wheel is slightly bent.

I take it to B&A panel beaters on advice from SUBARU glen waverley... after 2 long weeks, i get my car back today, great, drive home, bumper bar is different fkn colour to the car.

Its the same colour, but it doesn't have as many mirror particles as the rest of the car, and it much lighter in colour...


On monday i want to go in, anyone got any advice on what i should say?
They either didn't re-spray my bumper the right colour, or they didn't even give me a new bumper... just puttied up the old one which was f**kED waaya beyond repair.

i dunno, should i demand a rental car or something? i'm full comp with allianz and the girl who crashed into me was full comp, but rental car not included.

But this is the panel beaters fault...

Idea's and suggestions please?

Tell your insurance company that you are not happy with the job, then they will have to re-spray it.

ok NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER deal with subaru when you dont need to, before i brought my car from osbourne park subaru (perth)
there was damage and they then repair it for the sale , and it was the worst panel work i have ever seen, so i took it back and they did it a second time, still F*cuking SH*T!!!!!! so yeah look up in your yellow pages for a respectable one in the future, and just show them the car and tell them your un happy and they will say ''the paint is hard to match'' (because it is) then tell them they shoulnt have a job if they cant match a colour. the end .

they didnt color match it well enough = sh1tty workmanship

IF it's a 3 layer pearl, its not easy to do, but most importantly not CHEAP. so i dear say they f*cked it up and didnt use enough material. also, i doubt they blended the  bumper into the quarter panel.
as that would have made the color/texture difference very hard to notice.

post some good pic's up and i'd say for sure, but thats what it sounds like.

Take it up with the Insurance Company, at the end of the day they are the ones paying. If your not happy they arn't happy.

yeh, i took it to subaru today, and he confirmed that the bumper colour is wrong.

I have to contact allianz on monday and take it back get the bumper done, fkn hell, another 3-4 days being carless. I'm gonna demand a hire car this time.

However while i was in the subaru dealership the new 07 liberty Sti was sitting in there. i creamed by pants, it was black, with the charcoal enkei rims.
their sex on wheels, in 2 years i'm gonna sell my slug and chuck on 15g and buy a Sti!

Hi hope you get ur car sorted with out to many more dramas. i got my new GT STI yesterday Black with Charcoal Rims and am looooooooooooooovin it so worth the extra $$$ i beleive. the stereo is great and all the little extra STI bits and pieces make you feel that bit more special. does anyone know how many of the black sedans have charcoal wheels?
