My Gen1 Wagon.....warning dial-up users

  Top of Page

Since I stirred up my workmate (SubbyRS) about joining up and introducing himself, thought I'd better do a intro myself.
Names Steve and I have a 1992 Liberty GX wagon with a import RS legacy conversion done on it by my brother in-law Miles 3.5 years ago.
6 months ago it was given a spruce up mechanically because the old motor had the usual tickety tappets and a somewhat major oil leak,
Again by my brother in-law stepped up to the plate with help from his business partner Al.......you may have heard of them AMauto :-)
anyway they have done a remarkable job with the new motor and additional engine bay work as you can see by all the pic's below.
Sorry  to the dial-up users roll go make a coffee
basically started with this rough old wagon

Damn, talk about going the extra mile! That's the first time I've seen an entire interior stripped for the sake of a conversion.
Very nice looking car, hope you're very proud of it!

Car had been living on Moreton Island so sand was everywhere, better to start with a clean slate I reckon yikesk:  also all the old tint had to be taken off as well so it's easier to pull all the interior trims off as well.

Nah not featured on their site, not good enough for that, the one that looks very familiar is Miles's brothers car with a Ver 2 STi running gear and 200 ATW's, that car no longer exist's but the running gear is in a Gen1 Series 1 now cruising the Sunny coast.

very nice work there. smile well done. if i was to do a conversion i'd strip the inside too for a tidy up.

once the exterior is given a going over as you mention, it will be perfect.
