I hope he has got a 2.5 motor going in, lag on the 2l would be shocking!

Yeah, read his post (#55) in reply to my bro's questions.  In short, he says power would be less than a commo below 3500rpm but once it spools, your balz better be strapped in tight.

Edit:  Did the 05 Rex's come with the 2.5L?  Or am i thinking only for the STI?

Thats in Aus, that guys is from the states, which they did get the 2.5 in the wrx over there in the 05 range.

well yeah if u put an RB25 in a VS you got a sh1t load of room, but with the V6 its a little cramped, but not as bad as a jag with a v12. or a 300ZX
