Max Boost

  Top of Page

could anybody help me out?
I took my car and got it dyno'd and at the moment i am only running at 5psi on the primary turbo and about 10psi on the secondary(completely stock)...
Its a '94 legacy gt manual(now with full exhaust), my question is what is a safe boost that i can run my car at??:Dntknw:
Also does anyone know if the turbos are ceramic or steel??
Thanks

Turbo's are steel, and you should, depending on how good your engine is, be running at least 14 PSI with potential for more.

Just a quick question: What does a standard 1993 RS liberty run in PSI? and how do you choose how much to increase the boost by, with minimal mods, eg Exhaust  boost controller, pod filter etc..

Standard RS will run 11psi.
You can safely run upto around 16 psi with zorst, intake and boost controller.
I would also look at a better fuel pump

Sry GTwagon for getting in on ur thread, but would 16psi also be the safe boost for a 03 B4 with cat-back zhorst?  or can it run higher safely?

Thanks for that. So what are the benefits of having a better fuel pump? Also what type would you recommend?

Fuel pump is more of a insurance than a performance modification mate, i dont think you will get more power out of a better fuel pump. Its just designed to cope better with fuel supply/requirements.

Walbro 255l is proven to be good .

Re: Max Boost

a bigger fuel pump will alow you to run more boost safely!

As mentioned a Walbro would be fine.
Or a Bocsh 040 pump.

Don't know anything about it.

But if it fits, and a higher horsepower rating then go for it!
