many questions

  Top of Page

hi all,

ive been looking for a car club 4 ages.

first off i own a 92 liberty gx ej 22 (n/a). its white, its lowered with a 2.5'' exhaust, a pair of bucket seats (i love my girlfriend) i have   4 x 15 inch subs (1200 rms each) and 2 x 1200 rms amps with a 2.5 farad cap. splits front and rear, 5'' monster with red lens and led, and unfortunately not much else

i have a million and 1 questions. is there any body kits for my liberty? if so wherer?
would it be stupid to put a 3" stainless steel exhaust (no cat) on?
is there an instrument cluster with red leds that i can bye?
engine conversion (what suits best, how much, where do i look)

the list goes on and on.

any help would be greatly appreciated from any one.

thanks heaps

Engines you would probably be best with an RS front cut and Diff to bolt straight in. Check out the RSLC for RS motors.

Hey and Welcome to OzLib!

Sounds like a sweet ride!.. Post some pics if you can!

And in regards to the 3" Stainless no cat exhaust.. I would deffinately Not do that whilst your running your stock EJ22 engine.. not only will you get no gains, you'll most likely lose power..

Conversion wise, as previously mentioned, you'll probably be able to obtain a lot more info over at RS Liberty Club (RSLC)

Cheers!

im running an alpine cda 9856 head unit (does everything accept dvd) plays ipod. im running 0 guage all the way through with a 200amp waffer fuse. i had the 4 subs in my corrolla hatch in a custom box but its really heavy so im building a fibre glass box and painting it candy red. havnt had an spl reading yet but my friend has had a nose bleed from sitting in the bak 4 to long.

how much am i looking at for an rs turbo conversion? roughly? has any one done it before?

cheers 4 the help

Can vary a lot and depends how much work you wanna do yourself which will make it considerably cheaper. If you want opinions from those who have done it sign up to the RS Liberty Club forum as they have a lot of info about that particularly path.

from what ive heard you'd probably need around 2500 for a decent half cut and then add on another 2000-3000 for labouring it in. as mentioned before tho you should really check out rslibertyclub.org

good luck mate

it may even be easier and possibly cheaper to try and sell your gx (hang on to all the nosebleeding equip) and try find a good rs itself.

with conversions you run a risk of something not going quite right or something like that and you;ll probably end up with a huge headache running to the mechanic and back trying to fix the little things that go wrong.

there are a few good rs's around on carsales.com.au some real good ones in qld. and there's one that should be on the market in a few months that i kno of ballistically insane - recently rebuilt rs motor by possum bourne's engine builder, with vf22, whitelines, sti exhaust, 16' wrx rims, mines ecu and more...

i rekn wait for an rs instead of conversion

good luck champ
