Lowering the old girl!

  Top of Page

hi all,

The time has come to dump the liberty, in the next fortnight she will be kinda slammed, im evening it all out so the guards sit just on the top of the tyre,

question 1) do these cars have any real problems with scraping the front bar or anything else?

scenario 2  - Apart from lowering the car, im also planning on pissing off that back wing, I dont really like it, and think it would look more sleek,

Question - what are your thoughts?.

(is it uncanny that all of this is happening around tax time?)

I recently had HKS Superdown springs fitted to my MY99 B4 RSK. Don't regret it one bit although it rides quite harsh now. ('s ok with me :victory: )

I used king lows and have no real issues assuming i take speed bumps at 2km/h and avoid all confrontation with potholes.  If u take ur spoiler off, and ur in QLD, make sure u use the brake light out of the spoiler and place it on ur parcel shelf or u will get defected for not having a centred brake light...stupid i know, but i got done for it

I have king lows in my car, and well I scrap everything sad
My front bar has taken a beating!

Just make sure that you take speed bumps at an angle, and watch out for step drive ways.

And PLEASE take that rear wing out, as it looks awesome with out.
My B4 didn't have it, and I loved it.

Thanks heaps boys, and especially Alg, he's done exactly what i wanted, lowered without the wing, so its not just me and you mickey! hahah,

It used to get on my nerves driving my old cars extremely lowered, Speed humps and potholes, especially when you live in sydney..

Maybe i shouldnt make it that low ay, just drop ity about an inch and a half all round..

It should improve the handling more also with some stiffer lower springs too on this car?

Your doing exactly what im in the middle of planning to do to my B4... Only problem I am having is finding a spring that will lower the car enough!!  :blush2:

Which springs are you using?

The rear wing however, is very cheap to do the easy way(swap bootlids with a GX owner or remove wing and plug holes with rubber plugs)... but quite expensive to do it properly!(remove wing, weld holes and respray boot)... The only way to get the best of both worlds is to find a GX owner... and convince them a spoiler would look Awesome on theyre GX!...  :blush2:
