Lowering car with king springs

  Top of Page

Hey guys i have a 2002 white subaru RX 2.5L Liberty, my mate brought 'super low king springs' for his forester but got sent 2 sets, but he also had to get new struts put in, i was just wondering if anyone knows if i will have to do the same or not, or if there is something cheap out there that i can use to lower my car, would help be much appreciated if someone could help me out!
cheers dan !

don't bother about super lows imo; will probably be more trouble than its worth.  I've got lows and already i need to crawl over speedhumps; worst still with a full car load.  its also a pretty stiff ride unless you also intend to upgrade other components.

From memory it was fairly cheap, about only $130/set from autobarn. but that was 3-4yrs ago...

cheers for that, but i was a little worried about being too low. when u put the king springs in did u have to buy anything else new? or just the springs and installitation fees?

ive got king lows in mine it corners way better with alot less roll and the ride is pretty smooth aswel and you dont really need too get new shockys because they only take up about an inch or 2 of travel in the shock absorber and ive never bottomed out on the shocks and it cost me 400 installed thhrough my  mechanic its better to goo through a mecahnic so our not payin 4 guys too put a pair of springs in whatever you do DONT go to pedders its double the price highly recommend kings springs

King Springs are budget springs. They do the job but are a bit harsh.

If all you want is to lower your car as cheap as possible, you can pick up an angle grinder from Supercheap for $39.
