Looks like the humble corolla is going to beat the mighty commodore in the sales forecast this year. The corolla posted a sales result of 4673 units versus 4899 for the Commodore. Now discuss

big surprise !

better car in nearly every aspect. i just wait for the day the aussie factorys close down so we can get some cheap imports like NZ!!

Strangely enough... I agree.

Quality cars is where its at....

Japan > Australia on everything it builds.. apart from Beer and the hills hoist.. even Asahi beer don't taste too bad either... Its trillions of times better then VB!

Its been an up and down battle of Toyota V Holden for number 1 spot for a while now.

The main reason holden commodores have high sales and sit at number 1 or 2 is off the back of fleet sales.

That said, Toyota rack up a tidy number of total sales through their commercial offerings eg vans which holden dont make.
