It all depends on how well the prospective car has been looked after. The ej22 is known to last a very long time if looked after.

Another thing would be cv joints. they will make a clicking sound as you turn corners at a slower speed if theyre worn out.

If it doesnt have a comprehensive service history, get a full check from a mechanic or the racv. well worth it for a few dollars.

I was at subaru the other day and one of the head mechanics said the ej22's "last forever" unsure if id put a km limit on that though

$4800 seems pretty pretty good if its tidy overall condition. Service history?
