Liberty.asn.au forum - whats the go?

  Top of Page

OK, so flame me for maybe asking what may be an obvious question to the old folk round here, but whats the go with Liberty.asn.au ???  Do any of you guys belong to both sites?  Are the two sites rivals?  Are we not allowed to mention them?

Just checking, cos I come across the site but hadn't seen anything on here, and I've been on other forums before were there was rivalry with other sites, so I just want to make sure I don't do anything taboo!

From what I've seen so far they tend to be more focussed on the Gen IV's.

Afaik theres no rivalry between the two, just that Liberty.asn is focused towards the Gen4's.

Not really any rivalry, they tend to be into gen 4's as you noted. Then there's rslc.org that is chock a block with info on gen 1 and a fair bit on gen 2. And we have a bit about em all with a slight emphasis towards gen 3, mainly i think cause lots of b4 owners have settled here. If someone has a specific question re gen 1 or 4 that isn't getting answered here they quite often get referred to the other sites, its all about helping each other out after all! And lots of people trawl em all, even occasionally have a brief look at rexnet

There are quite a few members (including me) that are subscribed to both sites.

I'm registered with liberty.asn, RSLC, REXNET, MRTrally.

I don't really visit the other sites too much unless I am looking for parts or researching certain info. It's worth subscribing to them all, but usually I can get all the info I need right here....

I remember being registered with MRT rally... I sooo have not been near that forum in a long time, I have heard a bit about this ASN site but never visited it, RSLC is a good one and I do visit that one and read pretty often. :vampire:

Haha rivalry.... nah none of that i hope. You get the once in awhile comment about a certain gen being better than another... but thats expected. All in all, i think we've come to appreciate each other no matter what we drive. We have a shared common interest with subaru libertys and modding them. Thats it.

Will try and drag some of the asn boys to ur monthly meet up tonight! Oh yeah we always join forces for meet ups.

Phil.

You're all a bunch of bogans. I only come on here to buy stuff, the rest is useless. DIY section is useless unless you want to know how to spray your calipers and using business shirts instead of newspaper. DIY overhaul of brake calipers is also good if you like to see grown men wearing latex gloves.

Nah just kidding. As Mr Country Spec B4 already mentioned, its mainly Gen 3 stuff here although we've got a stack of Gen2 members as well as Gen 1 and Gen 4. We're all a happy bunch. We even had a Foz and Lib meet because we're all family. Yes, us Mehicans are related to youse Canadians.
