Liberty Back :D:D

I finally Have my beloved B4 on the road again big_smile couldnt be happier, the engine feels very tight still being that is has about 4Km on it hehe but feels much better to drive then it ever has since owning the car, seems to have better pull in the lower RPM range,. havnt yet ventured into the second turbo range to see what kind of difference is there... But Overall I am very happy with the result and being that its the first turbo subaru engine me and dad have put together im pretty happy. :clapping: am now looking to have the ECU pimped a bit to accommodate for the slightly larger capacity being that it was bored out 40 thou, not completely sure what capacity this would bring it too.

a few months ago the engine packed it in on me, destroying a piston and the bore of the block, the car was pretty much standard other then a boost gauge. so I got a set of J.E. Forged pistons for it and had the block bored out 40 thou and upgraded the bearings and had the heads ported on the exhaust side. was only aiming to have the car run standard but it seems to run slightly better.

The machining of the block and lash adjustments was about $150 from a place our shop sends a lot of machining work too, the forgies with rings and bearings cost about $1500, the water pump and timing kit was $300, oil = free (kind of), lots of little o-rings and washers for the turbo oil feed pipes and for other various things im not completely sure of the price as yet. I flow tested my injectors and put them in the ultra-sonic bath = free, labour = free.

The car was off the road for approximatly 4 months, we just didnt have time to really look at it and seen as though I moved to sydney for work I didnt get much of a chance to get home (about 450Km North) to work on it.
