Legalities/Process to follow when buying a used car:

Hi all.
In the next couple of days i will be bringing a new Liberty home, a 1993 RS Liberty, and i have a question, regarding roadworthy-ness.

Im buying the car w/o a rwc, so do i have to go into vic-roads to get a permit to drive the car for a few days till its roadworthy, or do i get an automatic number of days/weeks to have it r/w certified and ready?

All help is greatly appreciated, and i WILL post pics when i get my baby. Sad thing is, ill get it, then im off to QLD for a few days, so she'll have to wait!

From my understanding, if it was a private sale, i think you have 30 days to produce the RWC to VICROADS from date of transfer.   I may be wrong.

Spec's now, pics when i get them:
- Genuine 1993 Subaru Liberty RS Turbo - 176,000Km
- King Springs all round
- 03 WRX Rims
- Daiken Heavy Duty Clutch
- AVO Cat Back
- Avo Boost Controller (there but not installed)
- Boost gauge
- Rare Sunroof & ABS
