I think it could be a subi thing.... I mean in the few years I've been on the SkylinesAustralia and MirageLancer forums, I've pretty much seen NO black rims... except a couple of "body-colored-rims" on black cars. Personally, I don't particularly go for that look, but hey, each to their own.

In my short time so far here on OzLib however, I've seen it come up so many times! I think it can look okay on some cars (mainly where it's a dark-ish car (i.e. black or silver) with matching dark bits (i.e. dark tint, etc).

I'm a fan of dark rims, never thought they would work on a white car.

But with your paint as clean and bright as it is and the black grill, scoop, smoked lights and windows, I am totally convinced. Good Job!

P.S are your front windows lighter by choice or for the law?

I've got limo-tint (I think it's double-darkest-legal) on the skyline (was like it when I got it) and yeah... looks awesome, but reversing at night is 100% a mirrors job.  Also, when I was back on P-plates I had to get a sticker one because you couldn't see it at all on the inside... even in the middle of the day!
Never had the cops pick me up for that though.

I did my rims (actually I swapped them for already painted ones) black a few months ago, very happy.

Mine's silver though

aahh thanks i am very happy with the look. the rain guards where fitted new in japan, i dont think you can get them here but i have been told you can source them from new zealand...shane
