Kayak fishing.

Anyone into it?

I just bought a Tarpon 120 fishing kayak and am about to get into some fitness and fishing. Pick it up tomorrow and then have to wait til Sunday to get out on it for the maiden voyage.

Probably do a Eucumbene or Jindabyne trip soon and then a trip to Durras lake in January with a mate.

Ay Kev. Not really into the fishing but if you are down Jindy way I'll certainly come for a paddle on the lake with you after work.

Eucs should be your lake of choice Kev, apparently water levels are now up enough that trout are finally being caught again as they have been elusive as hell the last few years.
Although that being said thats fishing off the shore and not from a kayak.

Been some good fish pulled out here in Jindy the last few weeks. Walked down Little Thredbo and Thredbo rivers today at work and saw quite a few legal sized puppies.

I could be heading to Eucumbene next weekend for a late SAturday fish, overnight stay and Sunday morning fish before heading home. I have to work on a leave pass though.

Jindy is going to have to wait unfortunately but I will get there over summer.

I used to kayak Fish with my dad at Eucumbene a few years ago when the levels were high and water was at middlingbank.

Good fishing, But my god its hard when you get those strong winds down stream where it opens up a 1/2km's from buckenderra.

Just dont get caught out there when the weather turns bad mate. and watch out for bloody tree's and rocks in the water
