Job opportunity - Electronics/Service Technician (entry Level)

  Top of Page

The company i work for (Datalogic Scanning) has a position vacant which needs to be filled ASAP!
This is an entry level position - meaning you dont need experience, just some knowledge in how things work.
The office is in North Ryde (on Lane Cove Rd opp. Mobil Service Station).
Here is the job advert thats being forwarded around;

Technician – Trainee Position
Datalogic, a leading provider of barcode scanners and Fixed scanning devices is looking for a trainee technician to work in the North Ryde area. Duties will include (but are not limited to) service and support on barcode scanning devices and phone support. Good communication skills and technical ability are essential. Soldering skills are preferred. All necessary training will be provided in-house. Applications to jacob.butler@datalogic.com
http://www.scanning.datalogic.com/ - this is the website that shows the products you will be working on.

To work here, you dont need experience, just need to be mechanically minded. If you can pull something apart without breaking it, fix it, and reassemble it without a problem you will be fine. Whoever we hire NEEDS to be a quick learner! We use SAP to process repair reports and invoice customers as well as stock listing and pricing. Its a tricky program but with time you will understand it. If you use a computer for day to day tasks (word, excel, email etc.) you will be fine. You will also be required to answer support calls and help customers with problems and programming issues. We dont expect you answer the phone the day you start but the sooner the better.
If you decide to email your resume over, mention you saw this add on this forum posted by David.
Post up any questions and i'll answer them as best as i can.
Cheers guys!
