Maybe I should quit work, get the mrs ready and pop out 15 kids, I will put them all on an invalid pension, I'll change my home address so the mrs get sole parent allowance to top it off.

Then I will pay maintenance which is also tax deductible which will be debited back to my own account.

I agree about the Social security thing XX, also that all politicians lie. like a mofo infact.

but IMO, the liberal government is making it too hard for those people who genuinely cant work, (My old man is one of them)

also its a matter of perspective about the "Labour f*cks it up, and liberal fixes" it.

i mean, the new IR laws are a massive f*ck up IMO. although i do think they needed to be amended in some aspects, what the liberals did was utterly fugged. (i believe that Malcom Fraser actually nocked back a similar proposal by John Howard back in the 70's.)

Also someone pointed out the fact that the countries debts are the lowest they have been since labour lost power.
but personal debt is higher, the cost of living is higher. Most people my age wont have the chance to ever buy there own home at this current rate.

also on an off camber point, It was a liberal Government that has led us into every war our country has seen, but it was a labour government that led us out of it.

It was a labour Government that started the Snowy river Hydroelectric scheme. and various projects during the boom after the Second World War. many of which have made this country what it is.

Also I believe there was a Referendum during WW1 to decide whether or not to introduce conscription, Which was led by a Liberal Government. and the conscription WAS enforced during Vietnam, again by a Liberal Government.
And in the current world climate, it makes me nervous about having a Liberal Government, as i would think it should some other members of this forum, in the 18-30 age bracket.


At the end of the day, i sit on the fence. I would like to see a change of power, merely because change cause progress.
