It's that time of the year for me .

Yeah i am in the process of obtaining insurance for my cars.

I stumbled accross a company called eCar Insurance! Their rates are very very very competitive. Has anyone heard of them or dealt with them or know someone who dealt with them?

I would love to hear from you guys.

Cheers

I have to admit the quote I just got is VERY tempting. It's HALF what I pay with AAMI, but I'm a little hesitant getting insurance with a company I've never heard of before...

sigh I can't get ANY quotes from places online... They seem to not accept it when i tell them turbo liberty .. modified 2L flat 4. GRr bollox.

I'm thinking given my age and car full comp. insurance will be like $3k.

I think I will have to get 3rd party + fire & theft

Car insurance is not something i'd try and do 'on the cheap' in case it bites me in the ass and only find out when my car is in 100 bits after an accident.

In my mind i'd rather pay a few hundred bucks (not too much) extra and have the piece of mind knowing its backed by a reputable company.

Meh, that's just what I reckon...oh, and i'm with Just Car and they seem bloody good to me with the exception of your first year needs to be paid up front, then you can pay as you like. (AFAIK)

My last car was insured with Just Cars (only place that would).

I had 2 claims with them and both times the service was fantastic. The second time the assessor even put something in the quote that wasnt part of the accident. he said "im not going to get your car fixed and leave the light looking like that to ruin the job." That was a hole from a stone in a driving light opposite side to accident. Factory driving light = $500.

Odeo, i got a quote from just cars for my liberty after having a rex with them. Then a mate of mine said he got an awesome quote from Shannons, tried them and it was $600 cheaper. my car is a MY07 Liberty GT spec B. Just a thought!

I'm 23 with a B4 Lib, clean driving history and most insurance company's laughed at me or just flat out said "No, sorry we wont cover you".

Just Car said yes straight away and they were considerably cheaper than the 1 or 2 other companies that said yes.

In saying that, i'm in WA and we seem to have cheaper insurance for some reason. Cheaper insurance and worse drivers, go figure ??...

Insurance pricing is decided by a cartoon unicorn dressed in a rainbow, living in the clouds.

Trying to understand it is just crazy.

Funny that. I'm with Shannons, and they're about a few hundred dollars cheaper than Just Cars. (I'll go out and dig up my quote somewhere)

As for cheap insurance.

Seriously, comparing insurance is pointless, unless you live on the same street, have the same driving record, are the same age, have the same car, have the same agreed value, have had previous insurance for the same amount of time, have the same amount of mods, ETC ETC!
