Intake Silencer removal MY05 GT

Hi There

I am sure this topic has been covered numerous times but here goes!

My previous car was a MY99 WRX, on which I performed an intake silencer removal.

I am now driving a MY05 Liberty GT, very nice but very quiet. I plan to once put an exhaust on it but I would love to know if there is an intake silencer on this and if it can be removed.

yep there sure is very easy to remove aswell, pull your standard box out and it hangs of the bottom in the guard, took mine of and replaced filter with k and n much better respose and noise to!

On mine it made a minor and I mean minor change to the induction noise. Went from barely able to hear it to just able to hear it. Apparently minor gains in air flow too.
