****! you wouldnt want to look at the price...are you allowed to drive turbo in SA? new laws in QLD P platers cant drive turbo, or anything above a certain amount of kw's, i am insured with CGU and i have a 99 RX, insured under my mum, dad, and me (17 also) and it is costing me around $1000 annually.

you should check out with some different places cause you shouldnt pay that much in the first place IMO. thats a load of ****!

let us know how you go

cheers

Ouch! stick with the NA til your off your P's at least imo. But try some car enthusiast insurers like Shannons or Just Car. Its going to be costly though.

Over 25 and rating 1 for life FTW!

shannons dont do under 25s

dont bother insuring it in your own name, just put it under your parents name until you can afford it. $2k is a shipload for just a basic liberty.

yeah thats what i wanted mum to do when i had my first car, just insure it in her naem so it was heaps cheaper, then i had an accident about 10 weeks ago, and i am glad i did what mum told me to do. i was fully paid out and now i have a new car which is actually better than my old one. but mum went through an insurance broker who found CGU to be the cheapest company who they deal with and they were good with the payout too.

Here is where I give everyone a heart attack.

Im a 22 yr old male with my Gen 2 98 Liberty RX. Many of you will know what has been done to it but for those of you that don't know, just look here.

I'm paying $900 for my car which is covered completely. Fully Comprehensive.

They are aware of what mods have been done, have written documentation and photographs as well. I have in writting conformation of the car being covered as well.

I'm now off to bed.:vampire:

Thats because your insuring the name.  If you were to insure a Impreza LX with a conversion, it would only be a grand.  Thats why I'm able to pay so little in Insurance.  You ask billsy or regashi about how much they pay for their GT-B wagons. I bet they would be right up there in price.

I own a B4, im 24 and ive lost my licence twice and NRMA still insured me, tho its $247 a month which puts a nice dent in the moding budget.
