by aekOne on 27-12-11 04:21 PM without obd2 the outputs you're going to get are basic. units like the Sard Attack Meter and Apexi RSM will display rpm, speed & volt meter. on the monitor you'll also get lap timer (with splits), peak warning for rpm (shift indicator) and work as a speed cut defender (if used on a jdm car). imo most of the older data meters are only useful as a shift light and maybe a bit of in cabin bling.

by aekOne on 27-12-11 06:06 PM it costs a bit more than other monitors on the market but ECUdatascan makes an ODB compatible data monitor that works very well: http://www.ecudatascan.com/ |

by Subarujunkie on 27-12-11 10:00 PM plx wifi is great but you have to buy the extra programs which cost $50 od dollars each and the fuzzy car one is cheap but does nothing, and then there is a fair bit of setting up to do with the dashcomand and rev |

by XoN on 28-12-11 07:26 AM I bought a PLX bluetooth to use with an 02 STi and it can't read anything other than fault codes. It could be because the ECU is a JDM, but if you're going to convert OBD to OBDII and then use a PLX, I doubt you'll get much info out of it. |

by XoN on 29-12-11 05:48 PM It was pretty much useless so I put it in the glove box, and there it stays. I use a tactrix 2 now, and it works fine. |

by XoN on 30-12-11 07:17 AM I can't see any way of doing that Jovi, all it's got is an on and off switch, and no provided software to drive it... |

by Subarujunkie on 30-12-11 10:51 AM Luke i bought all the extra software for the ipod/ipad etc dashcommand rev and fuzzyCar. fuzzycar is useless only reads fuel battery voltage. rev is great for skidpad and trackdays, gauges with the rev are foward Acc lat acc and stuff like that....Dashcommand you have to enter the tank size, rims size, volumetric efficiency maf or map lamda final drive ratios, wheel circumference and the list goes on to get the damn thing to work properly..

by XoN on 30-12-11 11:29 AM I don't think that's the case for the Kiwi Bluetooth device mate, they don't actually make any software for it, it's designed for using with phone apps like Torque. |
