Is it possible (ie relatively easy) to put a subaru boxer engine (& potentially AWD) into one of these

Ive seen EJ25's in Beetles so probably the motor part of it would be able to be done. But i dunno about the AWD system.

As many have said previously, If you have enough money anything can be done.

It wouuld be very cool if it could be done

Sorry to burst your awesome little bubble of misinformation, but all the old school veedubs actually had boxer engines....

why kill a 23 window samba worth more than the New GT wagon

Market rates push the samba around the 100K mark , Pauls is 180K on the uk market

I have a 911 s box & starter motor , drive shafts & cvs

Ok, so maybe I wouldn't do it to a 23 window special, however this was the best picture that represents my dream Kombi...
Putting a nice Subaru Boxer in 'a' Kombi has to better than the 1600/1800/2000 that they come with.
Yes a 911 set up would be nice, however the Suby boxer seems (to me) a far more realistic (and yet still superior to originals potential) alternative.
