I saw some pictures of this in Street machine a while back.

I like how they've done the roof line, it looks very sleek/sporty.
Also, did you know with the new commodore wagon, the tail gate opens up to clear the roof line, and actually moves slightly backwards over the roof, to totally open up the entrance.
Pretty smart thinking IMO.

All brand new models have recalls. Look at the new 2.5t subaru's.

They handle better than a 10yr old subaru will too. Very stable on the road. Also they have traction control. So no issues there.

Lend me 55-70k to get one, and I'll take you up .

i was a holden guy till the VE's, i don't like them... now i'm happy to sit on the fence between ford and holden :unsure:

I have a MY08 GT Spec B 6MT wagon and a VE GTS Auto. I would take the GT any day. Don't get me wrong the GTS  has awesome top end and 300kw and 550nm is 300kw and 550nm but that's on paper. On the road there is no shove in the back, and despite the 90K price tag (it's got all the options) it's still a low rent fleet car. Handbrake design looks great when it's off but god awful to use otherwise, A and B pillars are so large they block all your critical view, blinker sounds cheap and nasty, sat nav screens is very hard to read and too low, steering wheel is too fat and lumpy, steering wheel controls for instrument display panel are not intuitive, rear dvd screen is flimsy and only stays in one position, headlights not a patch on the GT, traction control too intrusive but scary dangerous without, sport mode for auto on a separate button away from the gear lever (why can't it just go into sport when you move the lever across like everything else on the market), fuel economy doesn't exist, side mirrors too small, centre vents don't move enough to direct air onto driver, electric seats don't have memory, key fob wearing excessively after 1 year, but the clock is correct! On the plus side, the seats are great (they're crap in the GT), ride is comfortable and handling is very good but still a big cumbersome car. Oh, and resale is crap too.

my old man has a calais V that i've driven once...

he loves that friggin car to bits... he even puts a towel over the front when it's parked in the garage, because if anyone happens to want a can of coke from the garage fridge they have to walk through the 1 metre gap in front of his car...

haha, even i'm not that precious, though my car isn't worth squat compared to his... that's why his is in the garage and mine isn't...

other than the (exceedingly) massive A pillars, he doesn't really have any gripes with it, and i enjoyed driving it... albeit for about 20 minutes.

Also, i base my comments on my own opinion.
The interior of the commodore looks better IMO. Having the Subaru and Holden dealership in the same yard makes it easy to get a comparison.

Didn't realise I'd cause such a fuss. I just like the idea of a 6.2l V8 wagon.
