Hi,

No doubt an awesome machine, but for a limited options base price of $125, 000, for my money I'd be driving something different.

As these highly powered cars keep coming on line from what are higher production manufacturers, I can't help but cast my vision to the future second hand car market.

You'd be better off on the hip pocket by buying an SS V, importing a long motor, getting a Walkinshaw supercharger kit, exhaust kit and brakes kit!

Either way, BEAST.....

Erm, it uses an LS7. Dry sump, hand-built motor from the Z06 with titanium internals. $20 on the fact that the people pooh-poohing it haven't driven a late-model HSV wink

Ha, there's my first bite from a Holden lover, though I'm sure you appreciate all great cars Marv.
I'm not brand blinded as some are, but I sometimes struggle to see the point of manufacturers pumping out 500bhp cars straight off the floor.
Sure they are beautiful, sure they are desirable and acceleration is addictive, but that is a Supercar for the family at $125k.
I wonder if it will be the 70's revisited as with the GTHO's and the like being forced from production.
I certainly hope not, but time will tell.

Personally, I reckon it's bloody good value against the TT V10 RS6 (how much is THAT going to cost to service?!), but would prefer to have 300kW HSVs that only had 1400-1500kg to carry around. As old Colin Chapman used to say, "To add speed, add lightness".

PS: more of an M5 man, myself. E39 in Alpine White with Dinan exhausts and Hamman wheels wink

Haha, porkhunt budget with champagne taste. Just like me.
Mate, like you say RS6(425kw?), M5(375kw?) only a bit heavier than the VE's. I thought the VE's were between 1600-1700kg's, let alone the statesman shell, still no featherweights.
