have been living in sunny St.Albans for over 30 years on and off. have never been robbed ,bashed or stabbed even once despite my towns notoriety for all the above.
until today when my wife popped out for an hour only to find the front door open and some of the house ransacked. we lost the dvd player , digital camcorder , and a few other bits and pieces.
normaly you'd be pretty pissed but i was relieved to find how many things these knuckle heads left behind in plain view.
computer, brand new unopened digital camera,psp, and all other  kind of stuff.
i nearly pissed myself laughing when i saw my wife's  jewelery box that was worth mega times more than what we lost in total, untouched.
fark they even ransacked our medicine cabinet and  stole a big block of chocolate then they left there 1/2 drunk stubbies in the driveway. obviously junkies thank god other wise we could have lost the lot.
the wost thing was they stole all our remote controls , that hurts me most of all.
my innocence taken at last we are now getting an alarm installed on tuesday.
could of been a lot worse so we're feeling lucky right now believe it or not.
