Well I've certainly seen better looking cars before, but that's probably the best looking VL I've seen. Very nice aggressive bodykit.

Mate, you make it sound as if liberty owners enjoy the fragrance of there own farts... smile.

Oria, I love the car. But i think your licence would be safer in the Lib.
If you put 5k into a motor for the lib, there would be alot less chance of loosing your licence, simply because it isnt a VL.

well lets think about it...

what is the most popular P plate car around???

.... late 80's early 90's Commo's

there is nothing wrong with the car, just some have had seen better days, and god knows the history of it.

I dont know the history of my lib....Do you, completely?

Just because some sh1t for brains drive Vl's doesn't mean that all are.

You could easily say the same things about Gen1-2 Liberty Lx/Gx's...

I love VL's. I really do. A super clean, near original with freshened paint Calais will always get my attention. Seriously.

I also love, again, a very neat and clean Turbo. Pursuit car style!

For me this car is a bit too busy, but it would definitely turn a few heads.

Hope to hear your full report and more pics after the spin mate.

Cheers,
Nik

Its busy yes, but its the complete VL Group A Walkinshaw kit.
Only thing i'd rather in  a VL is the Brock Aero kit.

Also in my opinion, To pull off the Walkingshaw look, it needs to have 5ltrs of Aussie goodness under the hood.

The guages kill me, and the dash doesn't look original. I know the kit is complete...

Best VL ever? Sorry... DIRECTOR. This is not a statement, this is a fact.

haha. the director looks like robocop after a few burgers.

i'd only buy that vl in the first pics if it has a top notch alarm and immobiliser. some derro would pinch it in 5 seconds otherwise, plus insurance probably wouldn't want you without 'em.

not too keen on the bonnet thingy. wouldn't it just add weight?

Its designed to aid air flow into and out of the engine bay.
And also into the airbox/aircleaner on the carby 4.9ltr V8 that is supposed to be in real walkinshaw VL's.

The kit was designed for racing not for looks wink

Tom Walkinshaw designed the aero components in a wind tunnel bro, so if you're doing 300km/h it will be all performance orientated.

I believe the first Australian car to employ the science of a wind tunnel in its engineering?

I think your correct there Nik, once again.

Jovi - The wheels and kit are to a style, from another time period if you will. Love it or hate it, the VL is an iconic Australian car. Just like the HQ is. Many first's were had.
