I'm only Al_RS_blah blah on RSLC, that goes back to the Yahoo group days.
JZK25 comes from the VK project, should be JZK30 now because it has  a 2J instead of a 1J but whatever.

Assembled your long engine today, car is painted and will return tomoz, manifolding next.

I was reading billsy's thread they make a bucket load of power for bugger all mods. wats the go with them, what do they have in them. I ve been told they are a STI motor with TT. is that right Al.

GTB is EJ20R, STi is EJ20K. R has forgies, K has same bottom end but heads have big cams and shim under bucket valve actuation.
Both engines are prone to bottom end failure from ridiculous tuning causing detonation. The forgies can handle the detonation that would normally cause broken pistons but the loading is then passed to the bearings which wear and mushroom quickly. Scoobs' engine has been rebuilt for this reason and had some bearing damage at 80K.
Bottom ends don't make power, they just dictate reliability at a given power level. Your bottom end can sustain 180atw without reliability issues so I would look at upgrading injectors, fuel pump, exhaust and intercooler to achieve this before you think about engine changes. BTW, I have some V3 440cc injectors for sale if you are interested, $450 for the set. You should be able to use the SAFC 11 to retune to suit the larger injectors.

Ah right o i was just interested to find out how they made such power out of a relatively stock motor mods wise casue i wouldnt have thought that twin turbo with just a couple of things would put out that kind of power at the wheels.

Yeah i ve been reading up on tuning of the safc II, i can get it retuned which i will do when i get u to do all that stuff you just mentioned definately will be done by the end of the year, should be putting out some decent figures i would be thinking at the end of it.
