Hi - Perth 2.0R liberty owner here

  Top of Page

I just bought a '07 liberty 2.0R so its pretty gutless but still nice n fun to drive, partly cos its the newest car I've ever had smile

I stumbled across a '06 wrx engine a year ago, and that's sitting in my garage so there's some destiny in the mix here

My research so far says that my liberty 2.0 gearbox (5 speed manual) will mate up to the EJ255 engine? This transplant isn't going to happen anytime soon (busy with work at moment), but I'm keen to learn and collect data so if you can PM me any details or post up here anything to help I appreciate it smile
If anyone has a gen4 liberty workshop manual in pdf (or a link to an online pdf) or cd format I'd appreciate that too

Thanks and nice to meet u all~
Matt.

Welcome Matt. Sounds like you've got some fun plans ahead of you.
The gearbox should bolt up, but there is most likely some other bits and pieces you'll need to change to make it work. On earlier models you had to change the clutch slave cylinder, flywheel and pressure plate. Not sure whether the same would be true for your gen4.
