Hi from a Suba-newbie

  Top of Page

All,

I am currently awaiting delivery of my new Liberty 2.5i Sports pack this week - hoping to learn lots from current owners through this site and try and add my experiences as I drive around. From the test drives I have taken in the last year, I am sure I have made the right decision choosing this car.

Re: Hi from a Suba-newbie

I had my first long-ish drive of the new car this weekend, and am very impressed (even though I had to keep down the revs due to being a new car). Of course, I have upgraded from a 12 year old Corolla to a 2.5i so you would expect (hope!!) there would be a noticable improvement.

Quick questions to current Liberty owners:
- when I picked up the car the dealer mentioned that I can match the keys to a setting on the drivers seat (for example, key one will, when used to unlock the car, set the position of the drivers seat to position one - key two to position two etc). Is this something that can actually be setup (haven't read anything about it), or was it just a misunderstanding of the saleman/
- the accelerator is a little heavy - I know this model is "drive-by-wire", so is this something I just need to get use to or does it soften up I drive it?

Will be spending many more kilometers on the road enjoying my new toy.

aekOne - I might see you around - my partner works in Summer Hill, so we are there regularly.

yes that seat trick can be done, it should have instructions in your owners manual about how to do it.

not sure bout the throttle one tho sorry, perhaps give a call to the dealership?

Provar,

I will have another look through the manual to see if I can work out how - good to know that it can be done somehow.
