ideally i'm after a b4 completely stock and well looked after with low k's hahah, but i wouldn't mind if it had the exhaust fully done and lowered a little (not king springs)... tinted windows? lol yeah im not after something crazy done up insurance will hate me despite being 26 after a couple weeks. k'ms love under 150k, but many have 200k already... i'd go just the '01 model, manual trans.

Insurance on a standard B4 is already up there a little.. I think mine was $800ish full comp with AAMI - I am 22, mate of mine just did his WRX for the same with NRMA. I picked mine up with 150ish its been perfect so far, aside from a belt squeal that I fixed in the driveway on a weekend tongue depends on your budget really. And availability. I searched for a long time and basically settled on this one for its overall condition, the worst mark on it is some gutter rash, other than that its fantastic.

It is rare to get one under 150k, but of course the lower the better. The rate I drive mine I wont be putting many K's on it anyway.

TSG - 800 is very good insurance rate for full comp with a turbo car in my opinion, is that agreed value? I might ring around.

i've done all the online insurance quotes and AAMI was the best but behind it was RACV who i've been insured with since i was 18, and i'll stick with them because they've been great (i've never claimed before) and i've been told you get what you pay for and RACV has been good and i like to be loyal.

My mates shopping around for insurance was hilarious, NRMA did it for $700ish and he added some extras making it around $800. For his WRX, same age as me. Cheapest quote so he went with it! RACQ were having a laugh at around $3,000 pfft.

For my B4 AAMI was the cheapest full comp quote (at a half decent place) I put in what I paid and they insured it for $2,500 more. So yes, agreed value plus that. I then added windscreen and no claim and it totaled at $902.

We trust NRMA dads been with them for years, they fixed our 4x4 that was almost a write-off last year, I was blown away when we put in his WRX and it came up with that, they wouldn't do my B4 for under a grand. Most places wanted $1200-1400.
