hi all im new i need help as i just got a ej20tt gt-b and it dont seem to be boosting on the big turbo the small one is ok but no boost at all on the big one help ???????????????:girl_were

now i got it to boost but its only boost from 4500 -- 5500 then backs off this cant be the nom can it turbo only boost wiv 1000rpm to play wiv ?????????????  ps and what parts of a sti--wrx will fit ?

Seriously though, it makes it a lot easier to communicate.

Your primary turbo is probably dead. No one on teh internetz can fix the car, take it to a mechanic that knows subaru twin turbos (lol) and get it sorted.

hi all the turbo is not dead mate i have had a play wiv it all and there is no play at all and spins free i think its got something todo wiv all the pipeing **** thats onit i gess it only takes one thing to fu** it all up but its just finding wot it is lol wen it go's **** dont it go lol but its so hard to get it to go you can put ur hand on the big turbo even if you been driveing for like 30mins and the

ontick over its only at 200rpm -400rpm WTF lol ?????? :russian_r

Seriously mate, there are a lot of people that may be able to offer you some invaluable advice, but I got to the second line and couldn't be bothered reading any more.

Your Exhaust control valve which is situated below the secondary turbo (big turbo:lol:) may have seezed up and not allowing the turbo to spool. or maybe it's in 'limp mode'. See if resetting your ECU works.

.. i have tryed to reset the ecu and its saying 13 cam position sensor or circuit
i have allso tryed clearing the codes but its saying the same but will it even run if it was that

the tick over is only 200---400 rpm its way to low ?? and that valve on the big turbo is ok if i plug in the black plug and the green one and start the car the valve open's and close's so it must be ok ? and i cant get some one to look at my car.i cant aford it

Hi

Save up so money like a big boy and pay for someone to fix it.  I'm pretty sure getting a mechanic to drive it for a minute to diagnose the problem or have a quick look will be free.

hi mate thats all good if you got cash to save haha at the mo i just cant and im good at this type of thing its what i do mesing wiv engines turbo's but this one's just got me so its not going to be a fast fix thats y im on hear to try and get help as i cant aford it ( just lossed my job ) LOL some one out there must have had the same thing ish ??

The primary turbo on gen 2s usually boosts to around 10psi. When you get to 4200/4500 the boost drops off because you are going onto the secondary. You should build to over 12psi at about 5500rpm and maybe more, but some times depending on fuel, temp and other things the car will pull timing out to prevent detonation. My car sometimes does it. Its a good thing the knock sensor does its job. When this occurs you will lose almost all boost and the only power you will have is plain old revs. The engine sounds different too.
If you car idles too low, get a phillips head screwdriver and loosen the 2 screws on the top of the IACV, don't take them out, and idle the car. Twist the top of the IACV till you get the idle speed you want and re-tighten. Search for IACV to see a photos of it if you don't know what it is.
Or conversely don't be a home mechanic. Leave it for the pros.

hi mate thats thats a good help i will look into the iacv and so u think the boost is about where its ment to be i will see wot its doing and post it
