I've owned WRX and have now gone Lib GT.

WRX is FUN. Pure and simple but... You'll get more attention from Police, Depending on where you live there is also now the Hotline to "dob in a hoon" type thing. A WRX screams for attention. The Lib (GT - can't speak for any of the other ones as the last one i had was a 91 GL - but we won't go there) has a different feel but can be bloody quick. Without the LOOK AT ME factor of the WRX...

Skyline? Yukky! I hope it's a REAL one (i.e can actually attempt to race a STi) and not a poser that's painted bright purple......haha just kidding, get into a Subaru for sure mate, safest car around and fast as anything.

Coming from a Skyline you'd probably be looking for a B4 (turbo'd Liberty) snoop around the site and you'll find exactly what you're looking for.

thanks for all the welcomes. im really just looking at getting something that is more practical, has the go when i need it and something less attention seeking. also considering not going to turbo again since the price of fuel is so crap atm

nik022 fyi my skyline isnt purple nothing close to a sti but will deff keep up with wrxs
