hey guys im new 2 lib. |

by mgee21 on 10-03-09 09:34 PM hey every how r we all. nice 2 find sum subi enthusiasts out there. ok um got a bit of a prob with my 2000 rx lib. after driving 4 about 10-15 minutes me check engine light comes on and starts getting pretty sluggish n missing. any1 got ne ideas had a bit of a look around right hand spark leads had broken off got sum new ones on order put some iridum plugs in and a kn panel filter goes pretty well except 4 the missing after 15 minutes. if anyone could help me it would be greatly appreciated. cheers! |

yeh thats what was happening to me and it was the airflow meter the mechanic hooked it up to his machine and it was reading with an airflow error so he put a second hand one in and it was sweet , at first i though it was the headgasket but the temp was at normal readings didnt cost much to fix, anyways welcome to the site , its helped me out a lot only being new to subarus myself |

It could be a number of things including spark plugs spark plug leads timing belt rotor button air flow metre that would be tha majority of what i can think of it being if its not over heating. Do you have trouble starting it up at all? |

yeh mate just brought some top gun 12mm plug leads, iridium plugs and a k&n panel filter. alot more responsive but still missing. did an ecu reset cum up with a fault code (22) 22 Knock Sensor or Circuit (Right Side on SVX) wtf is a knock sensor? |

by Tabone on 16-03-09 09:59 PM a knock sensor sends a signal to the ecu telling it everytime it fires, if it is out, or the signal is major etc, then the ecu knows that its not firing right, and pops up with a light.

yeh mate i put tem in goes heaps harder but still cel light comes on.... what do u recomend with the maf? try a second hand one or a newie? can get some parts from sunspares up here at yandina but they r pretty pricey. |
