I had a gen 2 wagon before i got the b4 (gen 3 obviously). If i was in your position i reckon i would grab a nice gen 2 (dark green wagons with the Rallye kit look farken ace:beach:) with a nice reliable ej22.  Ya can make it look good and handle well now and turn the wick up easily (with a conversion) when ya got a bit more driving experience and laws allow. And if ya want to get rid of the ute cheap when ya upgrade pm me :Derisive:

There's a few nice Libertys on carsales. But if you want more power but more fuel consumption, a R33 or R32 is a good choice.  To be honest, I wanted a Skyline more than a Lib but the fuel made me change.

Get a Gen II with low milage thats been taken care of and  you should be right. If you don't really mind having not too much power then you should  aim for a GX of some sort.
