yer, its a series 2 b4(i think) drivetrain, its a 12/97 i think. and my foz is 12/97 as well. so far, i've had to modify a few things, not to difficult with the help my old man. but yer, i have some lights, and a bumper, and bits and peices off the half cut if anyone is chasing parts. also some fog lights sumwhere... they look different to the ones i've seen in the pics on here though. big round things, kinda look like there is a big marble in it.... anyway nice to meet yas.

hey all. i got the half cut shell of the b4. its got abs s**t and that on it, i didn't want the abs. (yuk) and to much work. lol. anyway if anyone is keen on any bits and peices that MAY still be on it and that, im tryin to sell the bits so PM me. theres also the standard brake(booster and master cylinder) and clutch setup(i think) im not sure as to the condition of the parts. the car had only done 120 000 km i think. also theres a WHOLE forester na 2.0 drivetrain including harness. retz.

ok, so a sparky came around yesterday arvo and did two and a half hours work. and now she runs, and damn, it sounds so sweet, so nice..... i love the rumble.........

ok, so im an idiot that left the Pressure Sensor in the half cut :blink:  its all good now but, actually kind of scary on full throttle..... my first turbo car and im lovin it!!

hey all, i'm not sure if this should be put in here, im an old skool nerd, this forum s**t, im only just gettin into, so here we go

i put the ej20tt in the forester, inculding the wiring harness. i had a sparky come and wire up the fuel lines. all good?

i get it running, drive it a few times, seems ok, gutless though. then i pull over and stick my hand on the second turbo. Stone Cold. ok. other turbo, moderatly warmer. i drive home and realise i have left the pressure sensor, u kno the little bastard behind the drivers strut top. put that in.

then i took it for a drive. scared the livving hell outta me. i've only ever been in half a dozon turbo cars. never driven one. (fastast i been in being BOXORS v3 sti gen2!!, holey moley man, that was crazy as!!!!)and it was a hole lot of power, it pulled hard and fast.

then about 5 mins later, the thing loses power, i slow down turn around and head back. when ever i went onto boost it would die out.(second turbo) i was driving it real easy but if the second turbo came on jsut a bit, it would die out and i would feel like im pulled forward in my seat. unussual dieing out(im thinking maybe this is wot awd feels like) any way, i get home, let it kool down heaps good. turned it off went to sleep.

wake up next day, turn key, dead. nothing. zero. zilche. squat. no noises. no fuel pump, nothin, no lights on the dash, no lights anywhere. no engine failure lights nothing there was nothing. and there still is... NOTHING.. anyway,

i go searching, the black ground wire out of the main ecu was not earthed. thats all i could find. ABSOLUTELY s**tS ME as to how it happened. i went over the whole lot a million and a half times. i think maybe the sparky did it in the two hours he was wireing the fuel pumps up for sum reason. i dunno. anyway. its dead now. could that be the problem, is there anyway to make sense of this? im open to everything. otherwise i just send it back to the sparky. lol.

fuses r all good by the way, i replaced all the ones in the car. 2 were blown, couldn't tell wot they r though cause its all in jap. i replaced them but still nothing. the differential sensor was exposed to rain in the half cut sitting in the back yard. thats all i can say?

If you continue to have problems with the running of the TT you might want to consider bringing it to me for repair. I have done dozens of TT rewires and countless repair on TT's in general. I can fix it, guaranteed.

BTW, I have done a rewire and finish work on a TT Foz also.

ah ha. so the other twin turbo foz i seen. no bonnet scoop. thats right.. i think it may have been on gtrydaz?  where abouts r u located? i have the tt harness in the forester. the windows, mirrors, wipers, squirters, central locking, that nite nearly be it.. and the fuel guage wire. thats wot still needs doing....

Your problems with the engine won't be caused by wiring faults if you have done it that way, nothing would have been changed in the loom. i splice the wiring so the original car wiring is unchanged, onl;y the ecu wiring is replaced.

Anyhoo, your problem is most likely simple, worst it could be is a dead primary turbo. How many kms on the half cut?

well. not hat u mention that. i did drive it without that pressure sensor thing a couple of times. because i didn't even realise i left it in the half cut. and i drove it a few times with it in the car, (big difference) lol and then it died if i tried to get the second turbo spooling. so if a turbo is dead, it will make no lights come on on the dash or anything?  130xxx kms

You should be getting a code 66 engine light if the car is bogging down and won't bring on the secondary turbo.
In any case, I can fix it if you get desperate. I have factory diagnostic equipment and, more importantly, know how the system works and what goes wrong with it.

Get it fixed and enjoy the car.
