Help on Subaru Liberty GX AWD

Hey im interested in buying a 89 to 95 Liberty GX AWD but i need to no more. What engine it has, how much power it produces and how much it will cost for an engine rebuild.

Hey mate

They are fitted with an EJ22 SOHC 2.2L Boxer Engine. It makes 100kw@flywheel, and 189nM of torque. From my experience, the Gen 1 is a very nice car, with an awesome interior, and _plenty_ of features. For a factory spec rebuild, you'd be looking at $2200+, dependent on parts and labour. I should know, I just killed my EJ22 :suicide: I'm just fitting a 2nd hand engine though, much cheaper!

Thanks for the help you have give me i realy apreciate it but i wana ask 1 more thing would you be able to fit in a EJ25 stroker in the liberty so it would have more power

oh yeah i almost forgot what is the difference between the station wagon liberty and the sedan in weight wise and what is the difference between the RS and GX

the rs rocks the ej20t, whereas the gx is the nonturbo ej22. both are all wheel drive tho
