Help me Pick one

  Top of Page

Hi Guys - please please please help me!! :suicide:
As my son would say I am perplexed, I was ready to sign the dotted line for a Subaru Liberty 2.5i (auto) then I checked the blog sites.
Taking into account all the negative talk on other blog sites relating to the oil consumption of the Subaru Liberty 2.5i and the sticker placed on the driver side door next to the arm rest relating to oil lamp warning - it has just broken my heart.
If I assume both vehicles are the same price e.g. Honda Accord Euro (Limited Edition) and Subaru Liberty 2.5i -   The built date of the Subaru and Honda is 2007.  Honda is offering 5 yrs warranty and 5 yr road assist, which would you pick ???  I am in divorce court next week....
Try not to biased ... thanks guys
Should I

Both fine cars, but if your trying to piss her off buy a BMW.

Nah, just jokes. Having driven both cars I would go with the Liberty for pure feel. The 2.5l is a pretty good engine and its a rare case that the oil consumption is less than acceptable.

I have a Forester XT with a 2.5l engine, had it for almost 4 years, driven it quite hard, and never had an issue with oil usage.

Good luck with your choice but your not going to get many people recommending a Honda on this forum.

I don't really think the car using a bit more oil than normal is a very good excuse for not buying it...

Just learn to check the oil and you'll be loving the car for many years :victory:

Gen IVs are having chronic oiling problems, with quite a few needing multiple engine replacements ala the early Canadian Gen III Chev V8s.

I'd buy the Honda.
