by Subaru92 on 23-01-12 03:57 PM k so I'm looking for a new car I currently own a 92 liberty wagon NA and I want something with a bit more power and looks good, I've been looking at a 98 GT forester and a 01 legacy twin turbo but I think the forester looks cooler but the legacy would have a lot more power Any opinions would be great thanks |

by XoN on 23-01-12 06:17 PM The early Forester GTs apparently had a turbo even smaller than a td04 (which is very small to begin with) so if you want power, there would be some work to do.

here here some people change the TT system back to single cause they think their gay(Ganguskarn)LOL but mainly cause it pisses them off that much they cant work it out so they give up (weak) But at the end of the day it your car and you do what you want to it Thats why we're all here Mod, Mod, Mod FTW I with Sinbad their Awesome if you take the time MY QUOTE: If you bought a prize show bull would you cut out one of his nuts |

by Ganguskarn on 25-01-12 07:06 AM i changed because of tunning i have a problematic ecutek tune that had a flutter underload i changed every sensor and solenoid in the car, MRT performance gaurenteed it wasn't there tune, so there wasnt the lack of trying mate plus, there is not one tuner or workshop that can dyno/problem solve tunes here with a twin turbo setups, i changed to single turbo and adopted a LINK44s ecu , which really was outdated for what i was after , i am about to upgrade to a VIPEC PNP ( made by link but cheaper ) to get all the cool motor sport features,

This. From the outside looking in, its generally those that mod the TT that have major issues. There is plenty of information around now though. Up here there is a GTB that has a lot of work done (from what I heard/saw) and he loves it, so its not an impossible task to work with the system. I really enjoy mine. Other than some bolt on mods to improve the car, I haven't touched the motor at all. Its not perfect, but I treat it nice, and it treats me nice. I prefer to drive it over most other cars. Of course time has shown a single turbo is better, with B4 money a year ago, I haven't regretted the purchase at all. |

by Ganguskarn on 26-01-12 09:00 AM firstly a single turbo will always be better on fuel then a TT , as the TT is on boost at 1900rpm.

So you asked and there you go my personal opinion is libs look better than imperza plus theres to many wrx's and a forester would come before rex aswell if you want a nice cruise car with some punch go the b4 tt and keep it well maintained but as everyones has already noted THIRSTY If you want a car to work it up go the forester first larger turbo as they are quite small side by side standard i would say b4tt way more power than forester but once you start to work them the tt system can only be tweak a little with out running in to problems and the forester can be done to get way more power out of it and still use less fuel then the b4tt standard |

by BigWillieStyles on 27-01-12 02:44 PM I love my Legacy. had it for four years now and in two different countries. But I wouldnt mind having the power band a bit lower and easier access to aftermarket parts. They are both nice cars, just find one of either in top condition. |
