Hello to everyone at OZLIBERTY

  Top of Page

Hello all.

I am doing this a bit in reverse, as i have already posted, downloaded, and bought stuff from here!!!!

Anyway, my name is Mark, I live in a Mudbrick in Heathcote Junction in Victoria.

I work as a Product Designer for a shop fitting company in Thomastown.

The last 7 years have been an adventure for me and my wife in trying to break our 2 beloved L series wagons, and failing miserably!!!! :blush2:

We recently upgraded to a 1997 GX AWD Liberty wagon, 125,000kms on the clock with only 1 owner and full service history. Picked it up for $11,000. Have insured it for $14,500!!!!:victory:

In the process of bringing it up to my standards......smile Whilst I love performance as much as the next person, I prefer effieciency, and some custom cosmetic mods. Thats the designer coming out of me!!! So while I may not have the fastest Liberty on this forum, I will have one of the most attractive!!!!

You will regularly find me trying to destroy waves at a number of our beautiful beaches, or rock climbing in the Arapalies,  or hiking in the Prom, or kayaking when there is water flowing in our rivers!!!

I have relied on my trusty L series to get to these places, and in a few cases, get me out of some tight situations. i hope this Liberty is just as capable!!!

Anyway, I love the site. It is really well put together, and a credit to those who run it and contribute to it. I have already gained lots of info and advice for my GX.

Thanx to those who have already warmly welcomed me. Very much appreciatted. Seems to be a great community here. Im glad to be a noob here!!!

Take care

Mark

hey blak_b4

Geez mate, I hope you are wrong about the comparison with the L series.

I took my L places where I didnt think it would go. But it did. And when I get there, i see Liberty GX AWD's!!!!!

That was a big part of the reason to get one.

For a start, the liberty has a 1inch higher ground clearance than my old L!!!

Thats gotta help.

Well see. I have had it in the mud near where I live, and it handled it fine.

But I guess I need to be cautious????????
