Hello Liberty Land

  Top of Page

Hello everybody,

Lets see, where do I start

I just ended a 13 year relationship with an XR6 and have begun a new one with a Liberty 2.5i (MY08).

As I now work in the city and take public transport every day, the XR6 was just sitting at home gathering dust; similarly my wife's Vectra needed replacing - so we decided to become a one car family.

After weeks of test driving just about every medium sized sedan imaginable; the natural choice was the Liberty.

After having spent thousands on modifying the XR6 (full exhaust, cold-air, chip, cam, gears and shift kit) I've decided not to spend any money modifying the Liberty - it is to remain a virgin.

Must resist reading threads about un-equal length headers...must resist.....must resist.........ahhh, what the hell - a little modification couldn't hurt, could it?

Welcome, nice choice of car & you can get a pretty good rumble out of the n/a's with a decent 2.25 system & headers.

Thanks for the Welcome guys.

Yes the boxer engine can sound very tasty with the right breathing - I remember the first Rally Australia held in Perth when it was a free stage around the streets of Northbridge (the 1st year only); that Liberty/Legacy Turbo sounded so much meaner than the other screaming 4-cylinders.
