Hello from America!

  Top of Page

Hi there! I'm Dan and I'm writing from Colorado in the USA. If you're not familiar Colorado is almost 1.5km above sea level, with lots of mountains and snow. Subaru's are one of the most driven cars around here. I popped on here on a quest to find a spoiler for my wagon, but why not introduce myself? This is my car. It's a 1996 Subaru Legacy L. Not sure the overseas equivalent. It's a liberty with a non-turbo charged EJ22.

The first week I owned it:

Mods:
2.25" catback exhaust, intake, eibach springs, KYB GR2 shocks, heavy duty coilpack, hotter plugs, using 40% bio-ethanol, JDM: fog lights, projector headlights (recently installed), grill, sidemarkers. 15% tint, and the wheels are 16" impreza wheels painted white wrapped with Falken Ziex512's.

I hope you like it!

Thanks for the welcome!

Suprauc, I switched to the GR-2's at the same time I did the eibach pro kit springs. I'd say the car over all has the same in town feel as it did before. It's soft and soaks the bumps pretty good, but when you start pushing it in the turns, the springs just rock. I've surprised many other drivers and copilots for that matter.

Bumpty, don't know who Cindy is...? I belong to a few other sites (nasioc, awdpirates, and sl-i) so maybe they are on one of those sites.

Hey man. Yeah our Trademe site (in NZ) often has subaru spoilers for sale. You can also sign up to the NZ Subaru Club www.clubsub.org.nz as well, if you like forums lol!!

I've been looking at the trademe site, the problem is the rarity of this spoiler. It's not one of the over the top of the hatch spoilers, it's the one that goes between the brake lights. Here's a link to what I mean:

Lots of rain. No snow. We had rain for 2 days straight. It was nuts. I'm really interested in knowing how my summer biased all season tires do in the snow. I have an extra set of wheels, so I may have to get some cheapo snow tires mounted up on them.

Ahhh right THOSE spoilers. yes they are a rare breed. I'm lucky enough to own one, someone from the Subaru club here in NZ just straight out offered it to me. Didnt even need to ask!! Man I reckon I'd make a killing if I made a mould of mine and sold them HAHAHA... maybe I should!!

But then I wouldn't be original... I ike being original

Yeah, that's your car pictured isn't it? Like I said, one came up on ebay here in america and sold for just over $100US, and I'm kicking myself I didn't grab it. If I can get a hold of one, I have a friend who can make carbon fiber parts, so I was going to have him pull a mold.

There aren't alot of salvaged/wrecked Gen3's around here. I could look. But you do realize that the american rear lights have amber turn signals and not cleared signals. They're also not tinted.
