To be honest with you your not going to get a lot if any power gains with any of these mods. You should feel some difference with your throttle response once you make the car breath a bit better but that’s about it – actual power gains will be minimal. If you get some uneven headers your car will get that nice boxer engine sound which sounds great. When my car was an N/A I found that with the headers and custom 2 1/2” piping for the exhaust with a high flow cat and hi-tech oval muffler it gave me the note I was after... Handling is where you will get the most “extra” performance from your car. Strut braces, sway bars, anti lift kit, lowered, coilovers etc etc. As there’s not a lot of power to be gained from modding an NA your best bet would be upgrading these sorts of items as you will instantly notice your car behaving differently once you’ve upgraded or made these kinds of modifications. A lot of people here will tell you not to put a scoop on your car unless you have a turbo etc etc. I had a bonnet scoop before I converted mine to a turbo and I thought it looked great so it’s really up to you... In Melbourne you should try EKW - http://www.ekw.com.au - 9274 4444 If they can’t help you out give these guys in Sydney a call (I know they have a bunch of GT bonnets in stock in various colours ready to ship now): General Japanese Spares – 02 9755 7888 |
