That being said. He was an Aussie, and all of us should feel at least a little bit sympathetic... plus, if you've seen the trailer for The Dark Knight, you'd realise he's a kickass actor too...

But yes I too am growing tired of the drug abuse... Why can't famous people all just be alcoholics like in yesteryear? They lived longer, said more profound sh1t and we had more opportunities to laugh at them because they're drunk!

Lol I almost seem to have a double standard.... you're allowed to screw up with drugs/alcohol/sex with women only if you're Australian

I heard on the radio this morning that playing The Joker - a schizophrenic psychopath with no empathy skills - got to him. Some quote from an interview in the NYTimes last Nov has him saying he has to take sleeping pills to turn his brain off from thinking about it. Then he had to take more because they weren't having the same effect...maybe it was just an accident rather than a suicide...
