Headlight/Bonnet Protectors

  Top of Page

Morning All,

Just curious to know how many of you have the stock headlight/bonnet protection still on? (ie, the plastic over the headlights and above the grill)

I'm pondering taking mine off, but am worried about chips/bugs/scratches. I'm also worried about looking like a senior citizen with it on.

The bonnett protector was the first thing that I took off! Left the head light protectors on because you can`t even notice they are on there, If they are genuine that is!

when i bought my car it didn't have one and i wish it did. i wouldn't have kept it on, but there are some really nasty stone chips that have gone down to bare metal and are starting to rust.

Mine came with all those parts, bonnet protector, headlight protector and monsoons. I've kept them on, the bonnet protector is off most of the time, except for when I go on my large trek up home every 2-3 weeks at night, it creates an effect which stops bugs hitting your windscreen, as well as stopping stone chips.

Who cares if you look like an oldie, if it preserves the car then keep it on, or atleast use it for night time hiwgway driving.

Take them both off, if your only driving around town mostly and put them on for long trips involving freeway driving.

(You may see me in Torquay often. big_smile )
