Thanks mate, I cant wait to get behind the bar. Oww the Lib will definetly be getting some loveing. Once the debt with the folks has been paid off (Snowboard Boots, Stamp duty, Insurence, RW Certifcate) I will be saveing for the AWD convertion. Now I just gotta look around and get some figures on the parts. Cant wait to get first pay check. I have been doing alot of solid looking around for my iPod and have found an awsome car produck. I have a 30g video iPod and with there shit settup I wanted something to charge it and be able to play it via my car headunit and also look stylish.

AND I FOUND:
http://www.dension.com/main.htm
http://www.dension.com/icelinkfm.php

The Dension active cradle and ice>linkFM should be perfect it will cost around $200 AUD.

I also looked at Proclip they wernt bad but I cant charge and play throw them at the same time unless if I had a Tunecast which wont look as good over all. Im not the biggest fan of the complete car kit by Griffin. That would just get in the way of my gear changers.

There's some good looking shit on there. I have a 30g ipod video and i use a "Roadtrip".

Which is just another fm transmitter. And honestly they sound shit... You need to plug straight into the head unit. One of the boys from work use the tape adapter for a discman and even using the tape it sounds miles better. So i'd stay away from the FM one's, they have a few things on that site that are heaps better.

With the Dension Ice>Link and Active cradel it will look like this: But on the left hand side of the car.

http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i67/evolution_182/icelinkplus_10.gif

"This fully installed kit uses in-line FM modulation and plugs directly into the stereo headunit's antenna port. The antenna is then plugged into the Ice>Link modulator which automatically "disconnects" it when using the iPod. This ensures no interference from external sources.

The powered cradle keeps the iPod charged and is available for all shapes and sizes of iPod. A dock connector cable can be used for concealed installations like gloveboxes or consoles." Dension & TheCarKit Company.

With the Ice>LinkFM tucked away under the dash hidded so all you see is the Active Cradle and iPod and it wont get in the way of my gearchanges especially when going to 5th. Because its not plugsed into the lighter.

But its a bit expensive tho.

I know that thats straight injection into the head units tuner but it's still just fm. It has it's limitations.
