Greetings from Melbourne !

:hi: Hi All,

I have decided to move to the darker side of things. Just sold off my Honda Integra DC2 Type R and bought myself (Getting delivered on Thursday) 2005 3.0R-B.
I am fairly new to the Subaru family but my family has been involved with it for a while now. Dad drives a MY04 rex and my younger brother drives a MY00 rex.

I will be asking alot of stupid question yet will do what I can to contribute towards this community. I hope you guys / girls will just bear with my questions for the up coming months when I get my car.

The car just hit 50000km on the clock. the interior is spotless and the exterior is without a doubt, best I have seen. No dents or scratches etc. Pretty happy with the buy and all. Positive experience so far.
I will post up some pictures once its officially in my hands.

Quick question/s :

My is a sedan. Is it a BL5 or BP5?
I have heard ppl saying that the 6-speed box is similar to the STi 6 speed box?
LSD?

Thanks ! Thats all I can think of for now. Will do some more reading and searching later !

Cheers,

Alan

EDIT : Here is my Honda Integra DC2 Type R. Engine is untouched however there are some goodies on there which makes the car very drivable on twisties.

Welcome mate, enjoy your new ride when you get it.

The DC2 was a tidy shape for the integra. Yours looked great, a very nice example of how to make it look good by keeping it clean. less is more. wink

Integra - Prefer that chassis over the new ones... Actually apply that to all Honda's.

Just a warning - you will fall in love...

I do agree with u in relation to the chassis design in the older generations.
As for the RB.. i test drove the beau out of the yard and first impressions were "Wow, so much more low to mid end torque" But I do miss the VTEC engagement feeling.. and also the imfamous induction growl.
I am sure there will be more to love in the RB vs the DC2R. At least Subaru had a decent factory sound system smile
Dunno bout the handling thou.. DC2R would kill the RB in any corning situation. I bet my bottom dollar to that. lol.. I will get flamed for this comment on a Subaru forum.
Just my two cents worth.. No offence intended big_smile
