Greetings from Japan

  Top of Page

I’m an English Teacher in Mito, Japan, about two prefectures north of Tokyo, and currently looking for info on the Legacy(Liberty) Wagon EJ20T, the twin turbo persuasion, more for maintenance than for performance.  Hoping that I could find some information here.

Looking for a Gen2, or that's whats in the price range right now.  Have my tentacles out, but still researching other options (WRX, Forester, Hilux Surf, Caldina GT-T, EP91 Starlet Glanza, and a WagonR +)

This is my third car, but it's a kei, and it doesn't have enough testicular fortitude if you know what I am saying.  I am helping a friend who is shopping for a turbo kei, and I wouldn't mind having one, but I make enough money to afford something to play with, so it's either a bike (been trying to get all of the paperwork together) or a better(read faster) car.

What part of Tochigi are you in.  You're only one ken away from me.

I have 25 bookmarks on the yahoo site, but didn't know about the goo website.  I willl keep an eye on it.

I just found a 15 man gen2 wagon when going to Mcdonalds for breakfast.  15 seems a little low, but I may check it out a little later.  I need to hit you up with a PM and get some more info.

Wanted to ask a question.  Does anyone know when the Liberty went OBD2, and whether it's ISO or not?

First off welcome
Now I'm not sure when OBD2 protocols were adopted but they also used 2 different ECU's

Most of the open source will talk to the ECU from 2001 onwards as they used DENSO were's as prior to that they used JECS.
